Fins are really useful aren´t they?

The hydrodynamics behind a fin is very interesting..Did you know that it works like the wing of an aircraft? :D

My boards range from one fin to five fin and I love them all..

The different feelings that you get from all of them is really amazing..

Thank you to all the craftsmen that build these amazing fins for us to enjoy out in the ocean..

Balance

Balance for me is the essence of life.. If you find balance within you, I think that you´re on the right track to sucess..

Teahupoo

"Teahupo'o (or 'Chopes as it is sometimes called) is a deadly reef break. It is mainly left-breaking, but the outer reef also creates right breaks that surfers must be cautious of when paddling out. Teahupo'o is also renowned for the consistent number of barrels it delivers. It is a rewarding location and is widely regarded as being on the 'must-surf' list of every enthusiastic surfer. However, only experienced surfers in peak physical condition should attempt Teahupo'o; heavy waves combined with a shallow shoreline can result in serious injuries and even death in a wipeout."

Big Buddha

No waves, so I went down near Phuket Town to the biggest buddhist temple here in Phuket (Wat Chalong), and then I went up the hills to take a look at the unfinished Big Buddha (45 meters tall and 12 in diameter).

I was really overwhelmed with all the scenery and the aura..

Who is Rui aka Bushman?

Rui is a boy who is an ocean lover.. I´ve been loving the Ocean for the last 21 years with every single piece of equipment I can get my hands on..

Out in the water people say I´m always smiling :D Don´t ask me why, but I can feel that I´m in "my" environment.

Why the Bushman?

That´s because on one of my trips to Australia I was always barefooted everywhere (like I always am) and they started calling me Bushman.

Will you love the Ocean forever?

For sure :D

Protect "our" Mother Ocean. There´s only one Earth, take care of it.

Practice compassion with the Earth, "she´s" worth it.

May all of us be healthy to enjoy our Mother Ocean.

Compassion

How do you see compassion?
I think that we have to learn a lot from those who always have a smile on their face.
There´s an old saying about surfing - "Out in the water the one who is smiling is the one having the most fun"
I think that even though today´s conditions are not that favorable we all should practice Compassion everyday, and smiling will help you through the process.
Like my meditation teacher taught me "Inhale to calm body and mind, exhale and smile"
May all of us be happy. May all of us be healthy and may all of us find peace within ourselves.
